2023 In the Library
First Term was a busy time in the library.
The students, learned about appropriate behaviours to use in the library.
Were encouraged to use book/library bags to care for our communal books. Any clean, dry bag is suitable for use as a book/library bag. It can be as simple as a clean, dry pre-used shopping bag. We value your support with this practice.
Learned about Autobiographies and Biographies and where to find these books in the school library (hint: on the wooden trolley on the Nonfiction side of the library)
Celebrated the following topics: Our families, Harmony Day, International Women’s Day, International Day of Mathematics, and Easter.
Term 2, 2023 in the library
We are currently acknowledging Anzac Day.
This term we look forward to the return of the Scholastic bookfair on 30 May. Students will be able to look at the books and create their wish lists during school. Buying of books with be
Thursday – 1 June: 3:00pm – 5:45pm
Friday – 2 June: 3:00om – 5:30pm
Monday – 5 June: 3:00pm – 5:30pm
While we do have a cash float we prefer payment by card or online.
Term 3, 2023
We are inviting Where the Wild Things Are Bookstore in for their first bookfair at Yeronga. They will host a bookchat for parents towards the end of term. Term 3 is also bookweek. More information will follow.
Term 4, 2023
Schoolastic Book fair will return just before Christmas holidays for any parents who would like to add books to their stocking fillers.
We would like to thank our parents for their continued support of Book Club. The points that we earn from book fair and book club helps us keep up with our well stocked library.
