Regional Touch Football

Last week we had 5 students attend the Regional Touch Football trials as members of the Eastern Taipans District teams. Both the boys and girls Eastern Taipans teams were undefeated on the day. All of the Yeronga students played well and performed key roles for their teams.  Violet C was selected in the Met West team which will contest the State Championship in Cairns. Dash W and Mollie W were named as Met West shadow players.  Jesse S also made the possible verse probables match on the day. Lily M showed her sporting versatility by setting up some great plays too. Congratulations to all of the players.

District Rugby League

Congratulations to Dash W (under 12s), Thomas D and Max S (under 11s) on their selection in the Eastern Taipans District Rugby League Teams. The three boys are looking forward to the Regional Trials next term.

Running Club

Running club has resumed and will continue until the end of the year unless the weather makes it impossible to run safely. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays, from 3:15 to 3:45 and Wednesdays from 7:45 to 8:15 with Mr Bateman. Mr Sutherland's session is on Fridays from 7:45 to 8:15. Remember that all of these sessions will occur on the main oval.
