Harmony Day – Friday 16 September
You are invited to join us for Harmony Day Assemblies and Cultural Food Fair next Friday. This is the planned schedule:
9:00am – 10:15am Junior Assembly
10:15am - 10:50am Cultural Food Fair (for parents only)
11:50am - 1pm Senior Assembly
Harmony Day allows us to acknowledge that we do all come from many different cultural backgrounds and yet we choose to be in community together being respectful of each other’s differences. Harmony Day allows the students and staff to have many conversations around what that means for us here, using words such as, respect, unity, peace, forgiveness, kindness, and belonging. You many want to continue the conversation at home, discussing what it means for your family to be inclusive and to encourage respect for other people.
Parent Café
If you haven’t been before, please plan to visit next Tuesday, and have a cuppa with me, Mr Spence (Guidance Officer) and Mrs Ainsworth (Inclusion / EALD).
