The Great Book Hunt

We would really appreciate all families going on a “Great Book Hunt” with their children for overdue/lost library books before we start holidays. Books are often found in the strangest of places!

Premiers Reading Challenge, QLD

The challenge is well underway. It finishes on Friday August 26th.

QSuper, part of Australian Retirement Trust, are offering a fantastic opportunity for 2 schools to win a full-day visit from author Sue Whiting. There are also 8 $500 book voucher prizes to be won! To enter, students simply need to list their top 5 favourite books and why. The competition is open to all Queensland school students participating in the 2022 Premier's Reading Challenge and closes on 26 August. Encourage your children to enter today!

Scholastic Book Fair:

Is on!!

We would like to thank you for your ongoing support of Scholastic Book Fair and book Club. Your support has enabled us to buy thousands of dollars of books and resources for our library. Our book fair returns Next week with the shop open for sales after school on:

Thursday: 16/06/2022 Time: 3:00 – 6:00

Friday: 17/06/2022 Time: 3:00 – 5:00 and

Monday: 20/06/2022 Time: 3:00 – 5:00

We are trying to minimize cash payments and ask parents to pay through Loop on the back of the wish list or through Eft pos. We have asked for two machines. If you have paid through loop your child can pick up the books during the day.

Under 8’s Day, Friday 24th June:

All parents are welcome to join in the fun!! The Library will be used exclusively for the Under 8’s on Friday 24th June. The Library will be open to ALL Under 8’s from 9.15 am - 10.15 am

Library story time + activity sessions will occur as follows:

9.15 am – 10.15 am Open to ALL Under 8’s

10.15 am - 11.00am Year One Curiosity Exhibition

11.45 am - 12.15 pm 2 Y + 2 L

12.15 pm – 12.45 pm 2 V

12.45 pm - 1.15 pm Prep 5

1.45 pm – 2.15 pm 1S + 1 M

2.15 pm - 2.45 pm Prep 3 + Prep 1
