Lest We Forget

It was a special and inspiring ANZAC Day service at our school on 23^rd April.  Major Clayton Connor from the 16^th Aviation Brigade spoke to us about the importance of gathering for ANZAC Day to remember the fallen, the wounded and those who have served and continue to serve.  He shared that since 1901, two million Australian men and women have proudly worn the Rising Sun badge and slouch hat of our Army, stepping up in times of crisis, of which Gallipoli is just one of these times.  ANZAC Day provides a time of reflection and remembrance, and reminds us all of our shared values and history.  As we look into the future, let us be inspired by the sacrifice of those who have gone before us to continue to build our great nation and to be a help those who are in need.
