Order forms have been sent home with students for the commemorative tile wall.  This is a great way to have your child or family memorialised on the school’s 150th Anniversary wall with a customised tile adding to a colourful tapestry that is representative of the Yeronga State School community.

Each tile is 15cm x 15cm and costs $39.95 per tile.

You are invited to draw, paint, create or use an image that is reflective of you, your family or your time at the school.

Please share the opportunity with a past Yeronga Student or Staff member, you can purchase online at https://yss150shop.square.site/  and a template with your order details will be emailed to you.

Please note: Cut off date to receive artwork is Friday 5th March and estimated delivery of tiles should be around the middle of May.

Commemorative Badges:

Commemorative badges are also available through the uniform shop or online for anyone wanting to purchase a badge. There is also a retro version of the badge available too.

FETE NEWS:

The fete committee have been busy working away in the background organising suppliers, stall plans, sponsors, and raffle prizes, rides, entertainment and so much more. Currently, we are looking for some help with the following:

Free Dress Day: This Friday the 26th of February

Given it’s the school’s 150th Birthday, the student council have come up with a fun theme around history.  Students can dress up as their favourite decade from the last 150 years!!  So many fun choices, we can’t wait to see some great outfits.  Children are asked to bring a gold coin donation on the day.

Seeking Stall Leaders:

There are still a few stalls in need of some leaders to plan and manage a stall at the fete.

The good news is, there are instructions for each stall and protocols set up from previous fetes including Sign Up forms for volunteers to help, so there is no need to reinvent the wheel (unless you want to, then go for gold!).

Head over to our sign up page and see what stalls are on offer and sign up today!

FETE DONATIONS:

Raffle prizes:

We are busy putting together the Fete Raffle and would welcome any prizes. If you know of, or have a business that could donate:

  • vouchers / free sessions / tickets
  • products / memorabilia
  • accommodation or tourism activities

We would love to hear from you. Donating a prize can be a great way to show support and introduce your business to our school community. Contact  yssfete@gmail.com if you can help.

Fete Levy:

An optional levy of $10 per student will save you the hassle of buying chocolates and drinks and carting them in to the school (without the temptation of consuming them on the way in!). Payments can be made through Flexischools (look for the “Payments” section with fete levy as an item you can add to your cart.

For cash payments, place your money in an envelope marked with "Fete Levy" along with your child's name and class and place the envelope in the P&C payment boxes in the Grade 1 building (L block – upstairs) or Admin building (next to the tennis courts).

Pre-loved items:

We are now accepting donations of pre-loved items for the second hand stalls. The donation bins are  located near the tuckshop (carpark side). These will be available to receive donations Mondays to Fridays.

For bigger items, we have some upcoming weekend collections. Drop your goods direct to the container on the main oval:

  • Saturday 27th February - 9am - 11am
  • Saturday 13th March - 9am - 11am
