I hope that your family has settled into the school year well.  It has already been quite eventful with the 150^th Anniversary Celebrations kicking off last week.  And there is so much more to come, including

Chappy Pancakes – this coming Tuesday morning 7:30-8:30am

Support Chaplaincy and bring the whole family in to join me for a pancake breakfast on Tuesday 16 February.   Follow the yummy smell through the school, and find me outside the tuckshop.  The delicious pancakes are generously sized and are only $2 each. Juice is $1 each.   Gluten free pancakes will also be available.  Funds raised from this event will be used towards the costs of running the my free lunch program.  Please let me know if you are available to help with this event.  See you on Tuesday morning!

Free Student Lunches

One of the things that I help the school community with is a free lunch program for students who don’t have access to food, or they forget their lunch or their lunch gets ruined. Yes, that happens quite regularly!  To access the program, students can approach their teacher who will direct them to the closest source of lunches, which are spread throughout the school given that we have such a big campus.

After many years of the Chaplaincy Office solely paying for this program, a local business last year provided some sponsorship dollars to ease this cost.  And this year, the Yeronga Community Centre has also come on board to provide ready-to-go sandwiches.  So if you need any help with providing school lunches for your family, please make contact with me to discuss.  I’m here to help.
