P&C Report
Last P&C meeting for 2020
Please join us for our final P&C meeting for the year at 7:00pm on Tuesday, 17 November, in the school library (Resource Centre - up to 16 people can attend in person), or via zoom - a link will be sent to P&C members with the meeting agenda. All are invited to recap on this unprecedented year and start planning for a big 150th and Fete year in 2021. We'd love to see you there!
We're hiring: YOSHC Manager
The P&C is currently recruiting a new YOSHC Manager to lead our out of school hours care service. We are seeking an organised, caring and mature leader, ideally with experience in the education sector, to work with the wonderful YOSHC team to help grow the service to meet the needs of our community.
For more information see the job ad on the P&C website - www.yerongasspandc.org.au/index.php/were-hiring-pc-job-vacancies/. Please share this opportunity with anyone in your network you think would be ideal for the role.
Those interested are asked to please email P&C presidents, Kym Mansfield and Hamish Townsend, at ysspandcpresident@gmail.com to obtain a copy of the YOSHC Manager Position Description and Key Selection Criteria. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Invitation: 2021 Fete sponsors
The 2021 Fete Committee is gearing up for an extra-awesome event in the school's 150th year and is now reaching out to local businesses to invite them to support the Fete through sponsorship. We are pleased to announce Lauren McHutchison Property has come onboard as the Platinum sponsor for the Fete and the 150th anniversary, and there are lots more sponsorship opportunities up for grabs!
If you own, work for, or know a business that would be interested in supporting this wonderful school and community event, please download the sponsorship package proposal from this newsletter, or head to the Sponsorship page on our new YSS 150th website - www.yerongass150.com/call-for-sponsors. You are also welcome to contact our team at yssfetesponsorship@yahoo.com.
This is a great opportunity to get involved, gain exposure and support our school - the sponsorship document highlights the great feedback we received from 2019 Fete sponsors. We look forward to sharing news of more sponsors soon!
YSS swimming caps and bags
With school swimming carnivals just around the corner, the Uniform Shop is selling YSS silicone swimming caps in the four house colours. Priced at just $9, they are great quality and competitively priced.
The Uniform Shop also sells swimming bags for $12 each. If you're struggling to find a bag to hold all that swimming gear, this is the one for you!

‘Just One Thing’: How would you like to help in 2021?
Our P&C 'Just One Thing' survey is a window into the myriad of ways you can get involved throughout the year. We are getting in early for 2021 because some volunteering opportunities start during the summer school holidays, eg back to school Uniform Shop opening.
You are cordially invited to nominate your 'one thing' you would like to do to support our school community in 2021 at www.surveymonkey.com/r/yss2021justonething. This is a super easy way for you to nominate the activity/ies that appeal to you - simply tick the option/s you would like to do, enter your details and submit. A P&C representative will be in touch with you at the appropriate time.
