Welcome back to term 3. It is exciting that school life is mostly returning back to the pre-covid normal. I hope that you and your family are coping through this difficult season, and have found ways to enjoy more breathing space, time together, and challenging new adventures closer to home.
While there are many who have thrived, I have heard of some stories where families are struggling, and some facing challenges around domestic abuse and violence. “Our Watch” CEO, Patty Kinnersley says, “despite the fact that Google searches on domestic violence are up by 75%, there has been a drop in people contacting family violence services”. It is thought that socially distancing has meant it has been more difficult for people to seek help from friends and external support services. Now that restrictions have eased, please find help if you are in this situation. Some great places to start:

This year has certainly given us some lessons about patience and flexibility. And if it has been difficult, I hope that you have been able to find something that has been positive and good, and possibly even been able to develop some important life skills.
