Chappy Jenny's Report
Happy Mother’s Day to all the women in our Yeronga Community. I hope you are spoilt on Sunday, and know that you are valued and loved for who you are, and all you do for your family. It’s not always easy being a Mum, so I hope that the day brings some opportunity for joy.
A particularly important “mum” in my life is my Aunt, as my own mother passed away when I was a teenager. After a recent phone call with her, my daughter commented that I am so lucky that I have a special relationship with her. She further stated that she didn’t have “aunts” in her life that she could call if she needed to. I agreed with my daughter that I am lucky, but I encouraged her to find her “aunt” by connecting and building relationship with other women in her life. Even though I am able to call my Aunt for advice or to chat at any time, I’m only able to do that because I have spent time over many years staying connected and valuing the connection. We all need people in our lives to be in our circle of support. Do you have an “aunt” or others that you can call for advice or support in times of need? Or are you a support person for someone else who needs connection? What could you do to connect or encourage supportive relationships?

School Fete…
I am making a giant igloo out of 2 litre milk bottles to be a centrepiece to Chappy’s Polar Expedition for the school fete, and need about 400 of them! Your help with donations of clean and dry 2 litre bottles with their lids would be much appreciated. They can be left in the hall.
