School Photo Days coming up
School photos are coming up on the 18th, 19th and 25th of June. Photo forms have now been sent home with students, with instructions on how to order school photos. Silbing photos forms are available at the office, and silbing photos will be taken before school on the photo days.
A full timetable will be sent out at the end of next week, once times are finalised.
Teacher Classroom Roadshows
Last week, our teachers had the valuable opportunity to visit each other’s classrooms and engage in peer learning focused on the use of the ‘third teaching space’.
This concept has been a key focus for our school in recent years, with an emphasis on how the physical environment supports student learning. In our classrooms, walls are not just decorative—they are purposeful learning tools. Students interact with the visual resources daily to reflect on their progress, revisit key concepts, and build deeper understanding.
Year 1 Bring a Special Person morning
A beautiful morning in Year 1 today with students and their special people. Adults and children shared school experiences and talked about change over time. 1B also shared some timeless songs they have been learning. Thank you staff and families for a wonderful morning of connection.
100 Days of Prep - 25th of July
Prep families are invited to attend our 100 Days of Prep Celebration early next term.
Have you seen our new Reconciliation Week display?
Following our heartfelt Sorry Day Assembly, every student at Yeronga State School had the opportunity to reflect in class on this year’s powerful Reconciliation week theme: “Bridging Now to Next.”
Students from prep to year six were encouraged to share their thoughts by writing on and decorating a symbolic leaf. These individual reflections have been brought together to create our new display — a visual bridge made of these leaves, representing our collective journey of understanding, growth, and moving forward together.
We invite you to come and take a look at this meaningful collaboration!
