P&C News
Welcome to Term 2!
The P&C would like to wish everyone a great Term 2! We’ll be getting to the halfway point of the year by the end of this term, but that doesn’t mean this term won’t be any less jam-packed with exciting events to raise funds for the school!

!!FUNRUN UPDATE!!
Thank you everyone for such a great day! Our school raised over $40,000! Which means the share that the school keeps, completely covers the Music and Arts programs for this year! But don’t forget you can still raise funds up to 7 days after the Colour Fun Run, during this 7-day period you will be able to select what prize you would want to receive, after the 7 days the fundraising will close, and fundraising prizes will be locked in! Thanks to everyone again for helping and having a great day!

THE FUNDRAISING:
If you haven't yet created a fundraising profile for your child, it's not too late! It's easy to sign up and you can source donations from wider family, friends and neighbours - every little bit counts - no donation is too small (or too big!). Has your child's class reached their target of $1000 yet?
There are still random draw prizes for students who have reached over $100 in donations!
We've partnered with School Fun Run to provide the colour powder, materials and help with the fundraising platform and prize incentives. They are happy to answer your questions about prizes etc. Once the Fun Run has been run, your child will be able to order their prizes (currently they have created a wish list/goal only). They'll be delivered to and distributed via the school in the following weeks.
If you prefer not to use an online profile, you could donate to a classmate's profile, or click here to donate to the generic P&C account for the school fun run here:

This Fun Run is being organised by us, who are YSS parents just like you, who want the best out of the school experience for their child and yours too. The run will be a great day, the funds raised are paying for the Fun Run as well as supporting the music and arts programmes.

Bike Bus
The YSS Bike Bus is getting ready to roll in term 2/3!
The organisers need your input to make it wheely ? successful.
Please help and complete this 5 min survey: forms.gle/dtyV4goQiTCUvZLV7
“What is a bike bus?” You might be wondering. ??♀️????♂️
A bike bus is a group of people (children and parents/guardians) who cycle to school together. It’s called a “bus” only because there is a fixed route and schedule. It’s a fun, active and safe way to get to school!
The Bike Bus program had an online informative workshop on Thursday night (01/05/25) and we’ve heard that there are over 40 people that have shown interest! Watch out streets of Yeronga… This bike bus will be taking over the morning commute!
