Gala Day One Wrap-up

Gala Boys Football (Soccer) Junior and Senior A

Last Friday the Boys A Division football teams travelled to Sunnybank High School and played a number of games. The fields were very small and the games were short but the boys handled the conditions well. Both teams demonstrated plenty of determination and worked hard for one and another. With two more Gala Days coming up the teams are very eager to keep playing fast and exciting football.

Seniors: 4 wins and 2 draws

Juniors: 4 wins and 1 draw.

Gala Day Tee-ball

Congratulations to all tee-ballers for their recent competing spirit last Friday. All teams played with enthusiasm and showed great improvement in skills. The senior boys and junior girls had successful games with several wins and some draws. The junior boys played competitively and collaboratively despite their losses. Shout out to Carter, Nick, Jaxon, Levi, Maddy N, and Georgia for their batting and fielding efforts.  A great day was had by all.

Gala Day Soccer C (Sunnybank State School)

Our Soccer (C) teams had a fantastic day at Sunnybank State School!

The senior team went undefeated and impressively kept their opponents scoreless across all games (2-0, 3-0, 0-0).

Our junior team performed well in their first Gala Day. With help from some borrowed players from Sunnybank to boost our numbers, they played with determination and showed great team spirit. We were especially proud of how warmly they welcomed the visiting players. (0-1, 2-1, 3-0, 1-2)

Overall, it was a great day filled with strong sportsmanship and a wonderful display of our school values.
