Winter Big Play Concert

Our Winter Big Play showcase concert last Thursday was a wonderful celebration of music. Over 130 Yeronga students performed across the five string ensembles and concert bands- congratulations to all students involved. Highlights included the confident sound from the Stradivari Junior Strings and the crowd favourite Senior Band performance of Oompa Loompa from Wonka. A big thank you to the support from the tuckshop, parent volunteers and Yeronga High School student volunteers in helping to make the night run smoothly. 

A big thanks also to the parents who support their children in their music making with consistent practising and getting them to the early morning rehearsals.

Southside Junior Strings and Band Workshops

Year 4 instrumental music students are finishing off the term with some regional workshops. Year 4 band students have their Southside Junior Band workshop at Yeronga State High School in week 9 and year 4 strings students will be attending the Southside Junior Strings Workshop next week at Coorparoo State School.

Tuesday 18^th June – Junior choir rehearsal

Friday 21^st June – Junior choir singing at under 8’s day celebrations

                                NO senior choir rehearsal

Monday 8^th July – Chamber choir rehearsals commence for Term 3

Tuesday 9^th July – Junior Choir rehearsals commence for Term 3

Friday 12^th July – Senior choir rehearsals commence for Term 3
