Principal News
Dear Families,
Over the last week of Term 1 we came together as a community to celebrate Harmony Day, Junior and Senior Cross Country and Junior Strings Concert. We thank the community for such great support to see these events go ahead. Whilst the torrential rain put a dampener on the plans for Harmony Day, it didn’t do anything to dampen spirits. It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying community together. Please look out for the photo spread in this newsletter.
Next week is a very important week on our school calendar with the school ANZAC Day ceremony on Wednesday 24th and ANZAC Day March and Ceremony on Thursday 25th. Please see the details for both ceremonies within the Deputy Principal newsletter piece. I very much look forward to accompanying a large representation of students in uniform in the march to the Cenotaph on Thursday morning.
Quadrennial School Review – 14, 15 and 16 May
The review model is appreciative inquiry, celebrating with the community what we are doing well and identifying the next steps in our school improvement journey. The review team will aim to touch base with as many parents as possible (usually at pick up and drop off times). A core component is identifying the unique strengths of the school and its vision and how the vision is being enacted throughout the school. In a nutshell;
Our school vision We are connected, curious and community minded learners and learners and citizens who make a positive difference to our world! in action over the past few years has been to develop;
- Connected Individuals: Leveraging Digital
- Curious Learners: Pedagogies for Deep Learning
- Community Minded Citizens-Environments for Global Competencies
In order to remind our community of how our school vision is enacted every day, staff will actively promote via daily Facebook posts over the next few weeks. Be sure to follow our official school account.

Lockdown Practice
Next Tuesday the school will conduct a whole school lockdown drill. The drill will take place during class time that morning. All classrooms are equipped with instructions for lockdown and evacuation procedures and drills each term ensure students and staff are familiar with our emergency response plans.
Have a wonderful week!
